I help ambitious people achieve success that feels even better on the inside than it looks on the outside.

Welcome.
I’m Janine Mathó.

I know what it’s like to want more—more purpose, more impact, more meaning—and to sense that something essential is missing, even when life looks successful on paper.

My path here wasn’t linear. At seventeen, I left an unsafe home, worked long hours to put myself through university, and went on to build a global career over the next twenty-five years. I held senior leadership roles at Harvard and Pearson, served twice in the C-suite, and raised three children along the way. I learned how success is built, rewarded, and sustained inside complex systems.

And I also learned what it can cost.

Five years ago, a period of profound exhaustion collided with the sudden loss of my mother. Everything stopped. In the stillness that followed, I was forced to look honestly at how I had been living and working, and at the quiet ways I had been overriding my own energy, needs, and values in the name of achievement.

That reckoning reshaped how I understand success.

I came to see that success isn’t only about what we accomplish. It’s about who we become, how we live, and whether the life we’re building actually fits. It’s not a destination to reach, but a practice we engage with—again and again—over time.

Today, my work is devoted to helping ambitious people reconnect with their energy, clarify what truly matters, and build lives and careers that are vital, grounded, and enduring.

My work is guided by a simple aim: to help people live their Opus—to reclaim their energy, align with what matters, and build success that’s both meaningful and sustainable.

I believe each of us carries an intuitive sense of the life we’re meant to live. This work isn’t about chasing more, but about learning how to listen more closely, and shaping a life that reflects who you are from the inside out.

Like you, my life has been full and layered. I’m a fifty-something, proud mother of three who has:

  • Lived and worked in three countries, leading business and strategy in global contexts.

  • Supported thousands of people—from early career professionals to senior executives—in their growth and development.

  • Served twice in the nonprofit C-Suite.

  • Raised more than $30M for transformational education initiatives in the U.S.

  • Helped shape the future of learning and work at Pearson, and advised senior leaders on brand, culture, and reputation.

  • Spoken at leading institutions in the US and the UK on the future of learning, leadership, and work.

  • Founded a global nonprofit dedicated to advancing women from early to mid-career.

  • Received a Massachusetts Congressional Award for Service in Education

Still, what matters most to me isn’t any single role or achievement. It’s the transformation I witness in the people I work with.

There’s nothing more meaningful than seeing someone return to themselves, clearer, steadier, reenergized, and able to move forward in ways that truly fit.

Through all of life’s twists and turns, I’m grateful to be standing here — grounded, present, and just as warm and down-to-earth as I’ve always been.

Thank you for being here.

You can build success that aligns with what matters most—and experience it as such. If you’re ready, I’d be glad to show you how.
