I help ambitious people achieve success that feels even better than it looks.
Welcome. I’m Janine Mathó.
I know what it’s like to want more—more purpose, more impact, more meaning—but to feel like something is missing.
At 17, I left an abusive home, worked 50 hours a week to put myself through university, and spent the next 25 years building a global career. I held leadership roles at Harvard and Pearson, and served twice in the C-Suite while raising three children. I climbed the way I was taught: working hard, achieving more, always striving for the next rung.
Five years ago, everything changed. I was overworked and running on empty when my mom was killed in a car accident. The grief, combined with years of depletion, brought me to a complete stop. I was so fried I couldn’t eat, sleep, or get out of bed. I was forced to pause and confront how I lived and worked.
That’s when I learned: success isn’t just about what you achieve—it’s about who you become, how you feel, and whether you’re life actually fits you. Success isn’t a destination; it’s a practice.
Today, I help ambitious people reclaim their energy, reconnect with what matters, and create success that feels even better than it looks—rooted, vital, and enduring.
My mission is to help people live their Opus: to reclaim their energy, align with what matters, and create success that’s not only meaningful but also sustainable.
I believe we each carry a vision for the life we’re meant to live. It’s not about chasing more—it’s about becoming who you truly are, and building a life that reflects it from the inside out.
Like you, my life has been a wild ride! I’m a fifty-something proud mother of three who has:
Lived and worked in three countries, leading business and strategy on a global scale.
Supported thousands of individuals—from early career professionals to senior executives—in their growth and development.
Led from the nonprofit C-Suite twice.
Raised $30M for transformational education initiatives in the US.
Helped shape the future of learning and work at Pearson, and advised senior leaders on brand, culture, and reputation.
Spoken at leading institutions in the US and the UK on the future of learning and work.
Founded a global nonprofit dedicated to advancing women from early to mid-career.
Received a Massachusetts Congressional Award for Service in Education
Still, what matters most to me is the transformation I witness in the people I work with. There’s nothing more meaningful than seeing someone return to themselves, energized, clear, and ready to live their Opus. And, through all life’s twists and turns, I’m proud to be standing—rooted, steady, and just as warm and down-to-earth as I’ve always been. Thanks for being here.
